Believe It or Not
Mood:  incredulous
Now Playing: Take this job and shove it
The company I work for is a small family owned business, there's may about 10 employees total. Anyway, recently my sister-in-law asked my husband and I if she and her daughter could move down to San Diego with us and get away from Fresno and a bad situation there. So, my company was looking for someone to work the graveyard shift. It's pretty boring and doesn't pay much. Basically your getting paid to stay awake. Golden opportunity right, go ahead move on down! I've even got a job for you, so you don't have to worry about money. She happily accepted and started a few days later. To make a long story short, she couldn't stay awake and she also couldn't make it to work on time. And on her second night of work, managed to get herself locked out of the building. Sweet right? Through all this my supervisor was patient and kind about the mistakes, lateness, and sleeping. However, just a few short nights ago, my dear SIL managed to sleep through something very important and pissed off a major client. Now whom do you think the axe got handed to? That's right, yours truly. I had to fire my own SIL. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be and she did sort of know it was coming, but still not one of my shining moments. Bottom line, if you know someone that lives in the San Diego area and is looking for a totally kick back job and isn't looking to become a millionare, drop me a line. I've got just the job for them.

Sunday-The day of rest
Mood:  cool
Now Playing: The sound of silence
I was going to clean the house today, and managed to clean the kitchen and that was it. Why does it involve so much work? I need a maid and a nanny. Or maybe I need a wife myself. Wives are great, we do all the work. I want someone to cook dinner and clean up and do the laundry and chase the kids around so I can sit on the couch and hold the remote. I think men must have really strong thumbs from all that channel changing. And I know a lot of women that are closet channel changers. When nobody is around the push that button like they're goin' for the right question on Jeopardy. But, I need to get back to the point. Which I can't remember what it was because I had to stop what I was doing because I heard a really loud bang come from my daughter's room and it's now Monday. Glad to see that everybody's or mostly everybody is back. Now if Rance would just post more often.

Friday!
Mood:  on fire
It's Friday and I have nothing to say and nothing exciting going on. When I was younger and before I was married I would go out on the weekends and really get into some trouble. But now, Fridays are pizza and a movie nights. And that's not so bad, because truthfully, I wouldn't trade anything for snuggling on the couch with my babies. They're not really babies any more. My son is 4 and my daughter is coming up on being 3 here in just about a month. I can remember the days that they were born and as clear as anything and the thoughts still bring tears to my eyes. There is no finer joy than your children, because no matter how much trouble they cause and how much they make you want to tear your hair out, when they hug you tight and put their little faces in your neck, the world stops and for just that moment nothing is wrong and I couldn't be any happier. I often wonder how parents with disabled or seriously ill children do it. Everytime I see something like that I always count my blessings and send up a prayer for them, they posses a strength that is immeasurable. Thanks to everybody that reminded me of how wonderful children are today.

And now I'm going to call and make my appointment to get my nails done, so I can get a break from all the whining, crying, and fighting. But I'll miss it while I'm gone.

Bummer
Mood:  hug me
I guess I'm gettin' on the A.S. nerves over at Rance's blog. They posted me once today and I think they're ignoring me now. I'm going to pout, but I'll live. I don't want to over stay my welcome or just become a nuisance. So I'll just comment away on my own blog, because hell, that's what it's hear for. I just love reading my own typing. It's like hearing myself talk. I keep checking the other blogs I follow, but I guess everybody is busy with other things.

As a side and rather funny note, my son was helping me clean up our backyard the other day and he was gathering up all the dogs toys and he said "look mom! I've got lots of balls!" It just sounded funny and the looks he got from the old people that live next door were pretty funny too. Just goes to show that you can always turn an innocent comment into something dirty. Everybody has a talent right?
A dirty mind is a terrible thing to waste.

?????????????????
Mood:  not sure
Is it just me or has everybody taken a vacation? Everything seems to have slowed waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down. That or I just way to much time on my hands, which is probably the case. I get bored easily.

Candy Wars
Mood:  cheeky
So some people are upset about the main page of Rance's blog posting a plea for help in bringing back Wacky Wafers. They think there are more important things to worry about, and no doubt there are. But if they are truly that concerned then they shouldn't be spending their time writing snotty replys. They should be out righting all the wrongs and what not. Some times you just need to relax and have some fun, or make sure that your favorite candy is still around for you to enjoy, cause what fun would life be if we spent every single waking moment worrying about all the injustices in the world? Of course we shouldn't be totally self-absorbed assholes all the time, but some times it's ok right? My personal view is, someone one asked for help and it was truly fun to help. I hopefully made someone's day a little brighter.

Ok, I feel better now. It just really irritated me. Lets hope this doesn't turn into an e-brawl.

Like pulling teeth
Mood:  lazy
To anybody that happens to come across this poor blog, please accept my apologies. It's been quite some time since I've written anything and it's like pulling teeth. If you knew all the time I spend staring at the blinking cursor you'd cry. Between kids and co-workers that call in sick because they just don't feel like working today it's hard to find the time. And now that I'm done whining, I'm going back to work.

Monday's suck
Ok, so I know that everybody knows that Monday's suck, but sometimes it's usually bad. Like not getting any sleep the night before and then when you wake up, you find that your son has wet the bed and you've been sleeping in it for the two hours of sleep that you did get. Not to mention, you just put clean sheets on the bed before trying to sleep in it. But that was Sunday and this is Monday, so back to the point right? I think every weekend should be a three day weekend, so you don't have to work on Monday. Some how the sun seems brighter on Tuesday, maybe it's because you only have four days til Friday instead of five. Whatever the case, kids whine and fight with each other seven days a week and don't take the weekends off as they should. That's why they can put TV's in cars now, so you can actually drive around without listening to one whine that the other is touching them, the kids, (not TV's or cars). Oh, the wonders of technology! Which brings to mind my childhood, I would spend all day outside on the weekend when I was a kid, why don't kids do that now? Mine are too young to be going to friends houses just yet, but we have a nice backyard and we practically have to torture them to go outside and play in it. Probably because of the TV in the car. Why go outside when you can sit in air conditioned comfort and watch your favorite movie, while your parents take you to McDonald's for a happy meal?

Shopping with small children
Mood:  don't ask
Shopping with small children should be an Olympic sport. Clearly it takes endurance, strength, and the ability to think quickly on your feet. It helps if the store you're shopping at doesn't have toys, candy, or anything related to Nick Jr. or Disney characters. So basically, you can't go anywhere because now everything from paper towels to fruit snacks has some kind of popular character on it. But, getting back to the point . . . it is not for the faint of heart. It takes all of the planning and strategy of going into battle, because that's what it is. A battle to get in and out of the store without losing your mind or yelling at your kids in the middle of the store. You lose points for buying the expensive toys or the bulk size bag of candy and it is certain death if you have to leave the store without getting what you came for. There is however a bonus for making all the way to the car before giving the finger pointing, grounded for life speach and if you can do it without spit flying from your mouth or ripping your hair out then your reward is the bottle of wine waiting in the fridge when you get home.

Hold on it's going to be a bummpy ride!
Mood:  caffeinated
So here we go, I have to leave work right now, so it's going to be short. It's Friday and I'm off to the races. Let's hope the weekend is relaxing and not as stressful as the week was.
